People often ask me what my favorite type of wedding is. It’s hard to pin down just one, but I usually tell them that attending a traditional Indian wedding once in their lives is a must. They’re full of dazzling visuals and time-honored traditions. They’re also massive fun.
We were there for it all during Tina and Zachary’s wedding photo session in Calabasas. From the baraat to the last farewell during the bidai, everyone was along for the ride that centered on celebrating the new couple. That moment when Tina said a symbolic goodbye to her mother and father was such a big moment we were honored to capture.
Our hands were full trying with all of the striking saris full of golden lace and gems, as well as artistic jewelry and intricate henna designs. Of course, Tina, the bride, was the brightest star dressed in elaborate gowns through the day and evening. After a lovely ceremony, it was time to party, and Tina and Zachary didn’t disappoint. There were choreographed dances with literal fireworks and touching speeches from friends and family. What an event!
